I read Blurred Lines a couple of weeks ago and I can’t tell you why I’m just now reviewing it or telling readers why they should read it, but you should. If friends to lovers romance interests you like Ashley and Me, without a doubt pick this book up and read it immediately.
As an avid reader, in my head, I keep a list of all the things I consider to make a great book. A check list, if you will. Blurred Lines by Lauren Layne easily checked off every single requirement I keep on my running log. One of my favorite things about the book is the witty banter between the two main characters Parker and Ben. They are so well written and the challenges that they face in transitioning between friends and something more feels elegantly real. I loved all the laugh out loud moments that kept me not only enthralled but kept me turning page after page. I didn’t want to sit this read down and enjoyed every second of Lauren Layne’s writing. She continues to publish cutesy books that are the best blend of cupcake and baby maker. That’s what I’ve found I like best about Lane’s writing; it satisfies all the feels I want a book to contain.
Blurred Lines was an awesome read I would without a doubt recommend to anyone who is into romance. Even if you’re not a fan of friends to lovers, the writing talent Lane posses is enough to entice the reader to hit the last page in just one sitting. Worthy to be called a literary binge, make sure adding Blurred Lines ends up on today’s list of things to do.
“We’re not in it for the destination.”
