There are moments in a bookworm’s life that just don’t compare to the rest. The first time you meet your absolute favorite author and you’re too scared to talk, when that author that you respect most likes one of your comments in their online book group, when you find your kindred book spirit in another bookworm, when an author you love re-tweets you, when you find that indie author not many people have read and force all your book friends to read their new release and they love it as much as you do, and then… then there’s your very first paperback ARC.
I just recently read The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski. I know, I know, I don’t have any clue what took me so long. My TBR is overwhelming to say the least. But I loved it. And from that moment on, I knew she was an author I would want to continue to follow so when the chance popped up to ARC The Moment of Letting Go I jumped on it. Paperback copy? YES PLEASE! But never actually expected to be chosen for one and then it arrived in the mail and it was one of the greatest book moments of my life.
The first thing that comes to mind with this title; Real. This book felt like real life to me. I didn’t stop and guffaw at anything and think “OMG, Puhlease, like that would ever happen.” Redmerski pens solid characters I would choose to be friends with. The written chemistry between Luke and Sienna is top notch. She tackles REAL issues in this book that we all face and know intimately and have to deal with in everyday situations. For me, The Moment of Letting Go isn’t just another cookie cutter contemporary romance novel, it’s a type of literature I would choose to read over other highly recommended New Adult books anytime. Luke is so lovable and worth every single page it takes to invest in his story. Every chapter is original and inviting. One of my favorite aspect of this book is Sienna’s relationship with her parents. How she gets it, how she sees even though she didn’t have a perfect life, she had a GOOD LIFE. There was a normalcy in her childhood, she wasn’t damaged goods struggling to become an adult because she was held back by abuse or assault, she’s successful. That’s hard to come by in such a humbling way in today’s book world and I ate every word of it up like chocolate. Each instance makes you long to be a part of the story, from the awkward after sex moments to the silly physical interaction between the group of characters. Redmerski is sure to have written herself another New York Times Best Seller with The Moment of Letting Go and I highly recommend you get your grabby hands on your own copy. Let the signing stalking where J.A. Redmerski is in attendance begin as I will without a doubt want my paperback copy signed and sitting pretty on my shelf to read over and over again.
“Fear is just the part of you that wants you to fail. It’s all of your regrets and your pain and your failures wrapped up into one emotion. It’s a weakness, nothing more”…..”We’re all stronger than our weakness,” he said. “Sometimes we just need someone else to help us find that strength.”

THE MOMENT OF LETTING GO by J.A. Redmerski (August 11, 2015; Forever Trade Paperback)
You can follow the rules or you can follow your heart…
Sienna Murphy never does anything without a plan. And so far her plans have been working. Right after college, she got a prestigious job and gained the stability she’d always craved-until work takes her to the sun-drenched shores of Oahu and places her in the path of sexy surfer Luke Everett. For the first time, she lets her heart take control. Drawn to his carefree charm, she makes a spontaneous and very un-Sienna-like decision to drop everything and stay in Hawaii for two more weeks.
Luke lives fast and wild. When he meets Sienna, he’s convinced that some no-strings-attached fun is just what she needs. As their nights quickly turn from playful to passionate, Luke can’t deny the deep connection he feels. But there’s a reason Luke doesn’t do long-term. He can’t promise Sienna forever, when the enormity of his past has shown him just how fragile the future can be . . .
